Before she was known worldwide as Naomi Judd, she was just Diane. Ashley Judd recounts her mother Naomi's adolescence in 1960s Kentucky where the promising Diane soon becomes a teen mother. Diane struggles to raise Wynonna, and eventually Ashley, as a single mother. As the girls grow, Naomi discovers a new path for her and Wynonna.
