In The CW’s new drama series “The Carrie Diaries,” Freema Agyeman stars as Larissa Loughton, the Style Editor at Interview magazine. She also becomes Carrie’s (AnnaSophia Robb) new cool older friend, who introduces her to the fabulous world of fashion and most importantly, New York City.

Agyeman is a British actress best known in the United Kingdom for playing Martha Jones in the BBC’s award winning series “Dr. Who,” opposite David Tennant. She also starred in the spin-off “Torchwood.”

In 2007, Agyeman was nominated for a National Television Award for “Dr. Who” and named “Best Newcomer” at the “Glamour Women of the Year Awards.”

Agyeman played Tattycoram in the Emmy Award winning BBC adaptation of “Little Dorrit.” She was hand-picked by Dick Wolf to star in “Law & Order: UK” and shot three series for ITV and BBC America.
