Michael Steger stars as Navid Shirazi, entrepreneur and owner of Shirazi Studios, in The CW drama "90210."
A Southern California native, Steger spent most of his childhood training in martial arts. That discipline led him to acting at a very young age. He started doing plays in middle school and continued throughout high school and college. After college, Steger joined The New American Theatre - Circus Theatricals and went on to play leading roles in numerous classical and contemporary plays in and around the Los Angeles area, including, "A View from the Bridge," "Death of a Salesman," "Othello" and "Tartuffe."
Steger's career began to take off when Tim Burton cast and directed him as the lead in the music video for the song "Bones," by popular rock band The Killers. Shortly after, Steger landed his first television series opposite Rob Corddry in "The Winner," produced by Seth MacFarlane. Following the sitcom, Steger became a series regular on "Buzz," a pilot in which he starred opposite Sharon Lawrence. He has also guest starred on "True Blood," "Covert Affairs," "Criminal Minds," "Navy NCIS," "Cory in the House" and "Hannah Montana."
Recently, Steger worked with Jordan Bridges and Julian Sands in the independent film "Assisting Venus." Prior to 90210, he made his feature film debut in the Disney movie "The Cheetah Girls: One World," opposite Roshan Seth.
